The card of Temperance shows an angel meaning positive influence. The angel is hermaphrodite (the child of Hermes and Aphrodite). Showing balance between the genders. The angel has one foot in the water and the other foot on land. The land representing physical and material and the water representing your subconscious mind. This card represents balance and moderation. Behind the angel is a pathway and sun, you are being called to think about circumstances before taking a decision. Just like the old saying dip your toe in the water before leaping in. Moderation, Patience and accomplishment through self control.
